The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mr. Sarfaraz Bugti, chaired a high-level meeting on the irrigation sector to review ongoing and future development projects in the province. The meeting, held through a virtual platform, focused on strategies to address water management challenges and improve irrigation infrastructure across Balochistan.
The Chief Secretary joined the meeting virtually, while the Additional Chief Secretary (Development) participated in person from the committee room of the Planning and Development Department. Senior officials from the Irrigation Department and other relevant stakeholders were also in attendance.
The Chief Minister assured that the provincial government is committed to prioritizing water management and irrigation development to enhance agricultural output and ensure long-term water security for the people of Balochistan. He stressed the need for inter-departmental coordination to achieve these objectives effectively.
This meeting underscores the government’s commitment to addressing critical water management issues in Balochistan and enhancing the province’s agricultural capacity through improved irrigation systems.
