The Planning & Development Department, Government of Balochistan, and German KfW Development Bank have signed a separate project agreement for “Support to People Affected by Migration and Displacement” in Quetta.

The project is designed to focus on supporting dislocated people in Quetta, including Afghan refugees and host communities. The initiative aims to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities and improve living conditions for these vulnerable populations through interventions in health, education, and community infrastructure.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials, including the Secretary of Planning and the ACS (Dev.). A fruitful discussion on implementation modalities took place, and the Secretary of Planning and Chief of Foreign Aid Section added valuable inputs to the discussion.

During the signing ceremony, the ACS (Dev.), Hafiz Abdul Basit, expressed gratitude for KfW’s support and emphasized the Balochistan Government’s commitment to effective project implementation. “We are dedicated to ensuring that the beneficiaries receive the maximum benefit from this project,” the ACS (Dev.) stated. “Our goal is to create sustainable interventions that will significantly improve the lives of dislocated people in Quetta.”
