Mr. Zahid Saleem assumed the charge of Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Government of Balochistan, on July 2, 2025.
Following the assumption of office, meetings were held with senior officers of the Planning and Development Department, including the Bureau of Statistics and the Monitoring & Evaluation Wing. Emphasis was laid on strengthening monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for effective oversight of development schemes, and on the use of accurate statistical data to support evidence-based policy making. Work on key development priorities has formally commenced, with a focus on transparency, efficiency, and measurable outcomes.
