2Education and Health
● Education and Health Sectors given priority with 73% and 45 % respective increase in allocation from previous year:
● Development share of School Education Rs.26 B (11% of total current PSDP).
● On the pattern of Punjab, the government of Balochistan has approved to establish 04 Danish Public School in Balochistan with co-sharing basis with Federal Government.
● Development share of Health Rs.20 B (08% of total current PSDP).
3Foreign Aid● Public Finance Management support programme successfully implemented and completed in Balochistan.
● Government of Balochistan has successfully negotiated with world Bank to obtain a loan of worth USD$ 400m under “Post Flood Programme 2022” to mitigate the destruction of flood in flood affected in Balochistan.
● In order to improve the financial governance system of Balochistan, the Provincial Government has successfully implemented and completed “Governance and Policy Project (GPP)” worth USD$16m. The project has improved governance of Finance Department, Provincial Ombudsman, P&D, Education and Judiciary.
4Agriculture● Government of Balochistan initiated Agro project of Agro markets development including processing packaging, value addition and cold storage facilities in 20 districts of Balochistan under green Pakistan initiative.
● “Green Balochistan Initiative” has been initiated by government of Balochistan for development of command area of Kachhi Kenal. This project will improve agriculture productive in 09 districts of Balochistan.
● “Balochistan Green Tractor Programme” has been initiated for the farmers to improve the productivity of Agriculture Sector in Balochistan.
5PHE● Connection of Kulanch valley with Shadi Kaur Dam (Gwadar) costing Rs.2.4 B has been approved by PDWP to provide clean drinking water to masses.
● Feasibility for supply of clean drinking water from Marha Tangi Dam to Loralai City costing Rs.2.2 B has been approved, work has been started.
● 38 R.O plants in Awaran has been approved and work is in progress.
6Federal Projects● USD$06 m cash disbursement plan for flood affectees has been successfully completed and in process of execution.
● 15000 home solar system, costing 4.5 B has been approved for offgrid areas for poorest masses of Balochistan.
● Modernaizatio and upgradation of Gadanrecycling industry at Gadani Balochistani ship breaking and.
7CSRCSR cell of P&D Department has accomplished updating of Balochistan Composite Schedule of Rates (BCSR-2024) on MRS pattern. After approval of PSC, BCSR 2024 will be notified after the final approval of Provincial Cabinet.
8M&EM&E wing of P&D Department has notified Divisional Monitoring teams (DMTs) to ensure functionality of 2172 completed schemes of PSDP 2023-24. List of completed schemes have also been advertised in national newspapers for citizen’s feed back and complaints (if any) regarding completed schemes.
9Statistical Data
The Bureau of Statistics published Development Statistics, 2021, 2022 and 2023 to assist informed decision making & evidence-based planning.2 annual Statistical Data of Balochistan Province in August, 2024.
10RoadThe stuck-up project “Rakhni-Baiker Road Project” has been revived to connect Rakhni and Baiker areas for the road connectivity and benefiting the local population (costing Rs.9.105 B).
11Legal Reforms
● The Service Rules of Balochistan Development Authority (BPS-16 and above) have been framed.
● 42 court cases (constitutional Petitions) have been disposed of.
12Diseased Quota
The Department conducted test interviews and appointed 06 candidates against deceased quota.
13Promotion Cases
The promotion cases Chief of Section, Superintending Engineer, Assistant Director (B-17) BOS Statistical Investigator have been recommended, and have been promoted as Joint Chief Economist, Chief Engineer, Deputy Director BOS and Assistant Director BOS respectively. The Departmental Promotion Committee No.1 and recommended the promotion cases of the Stenographers, APS for promotion to the next rank of APS and PS.
14Foreign Training
Overall 62 government officers from various departments have been processed by the availed foreign training/seminar meeting in line with CM vision of capacity building from foreign training.
