P&D Department Concludes 4th Quarter Progress Review Meetings for PSDP 2023-24

The Planning and Development (P&D) Department, Government of Balochistan, successfully concluded its 4th Quarter Progress Review Meetings for the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2023-24. The meetings, held from 30th September to 16th October 2024, were co-chaired by Director General (Monitoring & Evaluation), and the Secretary (Implementation), P&D Department, Balochistan. The review focused on ongoing and completed projects to ensure timely delivery and effective follow-up on development schemes.

The meetings involved sector-specific presentations from Administrative Secretaries and project directors, who provided detailed progress reports on their respective PSDP projects. Emphasis was placed on resolving challenges in project implementation and ensuring that all ongoing projects align with the developmental targets set by the government for the fiscal year.

The sessions also saw the participation of representatives from the Finance and Revenue Department, who provided additional insights into project funding and expenditure. Each department presented their PC-IIIs and PC-IVs to ensure transparency and efficient monitoring of progress.

Key discussions during the review meetings focused on enhancing project execution, addressing delays, and ensuring accountability across departments. Special attention was given to sectors facing critical challenges in project delivery, with the goal of making informed decisions for timely implementation.

These meetings were a critical step in enhancing project execution and addressing obstacles that hinder development progress. Departments presented their progress and shared plans to overcome challenges, ensuring the province’s development initiatives remain aligned with government priorities.

The P&D Department will continue to monitor the implementation of decisions taken during these meetings to ensure that the PSDP 2023-24 objectives are fully realized, benefiting the people of Balochistan.
