Meeting of key stakeholders, including government officials and disaster management experts, discussing initiatives for enhancing disaster preparedness and response in the province

A PDWP (Provincial Development Working Party) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Hafiz Abdul Basit to discuss important initiatives for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). Key attendees included:

  • Tariq Hussain, Special Secretary, CM Secretariat
  • Aurangzaib Kasi, Special Secretary, Finance
  • Zaheer Baloch, Director, PDMA
  • Tabassum Ahmed Khilji, Chief Economist
  • Ghulam Nabi Gola, Chief of Section (PDMA)

The meeting focused on three key schemes aimed at enhancing disaster management:

  1. Disaster Management Villages in each Divisional Headquarters.
  2. Divisional Level Functionalization and Provision of Heavy Machinery.
  3. Rescue 1122 (04 Sub-Stations) to improve emergency response.

These initiatives aim to strengthen the province’s disaster preparedness and response capabilities.
