The Pre-PDWP meeting on the Health Sector, held on September 18, 2024, was chaired by Mr. Tabassum Ahmed Khilji, the Chief Economist of Balochistan. This meeting served as a preparatory step to refine and perfect health sector projects before presenting them to the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP). Key developmental initiatives were discussed, focusing on strategies to enhance healthcare services across the province and reviewing both ongoing and proposed projects.
Among the schemes discussed were the Provision of ICU Equipment for Trauma Centers, the Liver Transplant Facility in Naseerabad, the Establishment of a Cath Lab at Shaikh Zayed Hospital, and the Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) Program. These discussions emphasized the need to make these projects flawless, addressing potential challenges and ensuring efficient resource allocation and planning, to guarantee their success at the PDWP. Mr. Arif Baloch, Chief of Section (Health), along with other officials and stakeholders, actively contributed to the discussion.
