The Provincial Technical Working Group (TWG) Committee convened a significant meeting to review the progress of the Revival of Balochistan Water Resource Program (RBWRP). The meeting, held under the chairmanship of the Chief Foreign Aid, Planning & Development Department, brought together key stakeholders and international partners.
Distinguished participants included Director Generals from the Agriculture, Livestock, and Forest departments, alongside representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Balochistan, Landell Mills, and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
The Secretary (Implementation) of the Planning & Development Department attended the meeting and commended the Technical Working Group for their dedicated efforts in project development and their valuable contributions to maintaining momentum in program activities. In his address, he emphasized the importance of ensuring that program benefits reach the general public, leading to meaningful socio-economic development in the region.
During the session, the Chief Foreign Aid conducted a comprehensive review of each department’s activities and provided valuable feedback. He specifically emphasized the critical importance of incorporating robust technical inputs into program interventions. The Chief stressed that this technical focus was essential for ensuring both the long-term sustainability of the program and the enhancement of livelihood opportunities for the local population.
Teams from FAO and Landell Mills presented their progress reports, followed by comprehensive discussions on the strategic direction for upcoming project activities. The forum provided an opportunity for stakeholders to align their vision and strengthen coordination for effective project implementation.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks and votes of thanks from the Secretary (Implementation), the Chief Foreign Aid, and the Director Generals of the participating departments, reaffirming their commitment to the program’s success and the implementation of the technical recommendations discussed during the meeting.
