The Planning & Development Department (P&DD) convened its 5th Monthly Review Meeting under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), bringing together senior officials to assess government performance and accelerate the implementation of priority initiatives. The session undertook a comprehensive review of PSDP project progress, examining both physical and financial execution across departments. The ACS (Dev) emphasized the need for timely completion of ongoing schemes and directed departments to fast-track critical projects facing delays. A detailed briefing on pendency and e-filing status highlighted improvements in digital file movement. The ACS reiterated that e-governance reforms remain central to enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficiency, urging all wings to clear pending cases promptly. The meeting also evaluated progress on Chief Minister’s directives, Cabinet decisions, and recommendations of the Secretaries’ Committee, ensuring that all instructions are being implemented in letter and spirit. Departments were instructed to maintain clear timelines and provide updated compliance reports. Furthermore, outcomes of the recent Deputy Commissioners (DCs) Conference were reviewed, with a focus on strengthening vertical coordination between provincial and district administrations. Enhanced follow-up mechanisms were discussed to ensure that field-level challenges are escalated and addressed without delay. Concluding the session, the ACS (Dev) stressed the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination, timely follow-up, and proactive monitoring to uphold governance standards.
