ACS (Development) Chairs Meeting on Scrutiny of PC-Is for Upcoming Financial Year

A meeting chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary (Development) reviewed matters related to the scrutiny of PC-Is for the upcoming financial year, emphasizing timely evaluation, improved coordination with departments, and submission of complete project proposals.

A meeting under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning & Development (P&D) Department was held on 10th March 2026 with the Technical Wing and the Chiefs of the UP&D and Roads Sections in P&D Department to deliberate on matters related to the scrutiny of PC-Is for the upcoming financial year. During the meeting, various issues concerning the timely and effective scrutiny of development project proposals were discussed in detail. The Chair emphasized the importance of ensuring thorough evaluation of PC-I documents to maintain transparency, efficiency, and alignment with the government’s development priorities. The participants reviewed the current procedures and identified key areas requiring improvement to facilitate smoother processing of project proposals. It was also stressed that all Administration Departments should ensure the submission of complete and well-prepared PC-Is to avoid delays in the appraisal process. The meeting concluded with directions from the Chair to strengthen coordination with the Administrative Departments so that the scrutiny process for the upcoming financial year could be completed in a timely and efficient manner.
