Departmental Progress Review Meeting Held at Planning & Development Department

The Departmental Progress Review Meeting of the Planning & Development Department (P&DD), Government of Balochistan, was held on 13th July 2026 under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development). The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Department and focused on reviewing the overall performance and progress achieved during the preceding month. During the meeting, a comprehensive review was undertaken of the Department’s activities, with particular emphasis on the implementation and compliance status of decisions taken by various apex forums, including the Provincial Cabinet, Secretaries’ Committee meetings, DCs’ Conferences, and other high-level coordination forums. Detailed discussions were held on the timely execution of assigned tasks, institutional coordination, and mechanisms for ensuring effective follow-up of policy directives and administrative decisions. The forum also reviewed progress against departmental targets and examined matters requiring further attention to ensure timely completion and effective implementation. The Chair appreciated the commitment, dedication, and professional efforts of the officers and staff of the Planning & Development Department in achieving assigned targets and maintaining effective coordination with relevant departments and stakeholders. He acknowledged the important role being played by the Department in facilitating implementation of government decisions and strengthening coordination across various administrative tiers. The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned officers to maintain the pace of progress, ensure strict compliance with decisions of the apex forums, and work collectively towards achieving the development priorities and institutional objectives of the Government of Balochistan
