The Additional Chief Secretary (Development), P&DD Balochistan, attended the second meeting of the Emergency Response Committee Monsoon 2026, held in Islamabad on 10th July 2026 via video link, to review preparedness and response arrangements.

The second meeting of the Emergency Response Committee – Monsoon 2026 was held on 10th July 2026 in Islamabad to review preparedness and response arrangements in view of the ongoing monsoon season. The meeting was attended by the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning & Development Department, Government of Balochistan, through video link. The meeting reviewed the preparedness measures being undertaken by the concerned departments and relevant stakeholders to effectively respond to any emergency situation arising from monsoon rains, flash floods, and other weather-related incidents. The forum emphasized the importance of proactive preparedness, inter-departmental coordination, timely response, and effective deployment of available resources to safeguard lives, property, and public infrastructure. Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining close coordination among relevant authorities and ensuring that necessary contingency measures remain in place throughout the monsoon season. The participants were directed to remain vigilant, strengthen coordination mechanisms, and ensure timely sharing of information so that any emerging situation could be addressed promptly and effectively. The meeting also stressed the need for continuous monitoring of vulnerable areas and readiness of response and relief arrangements. The participation of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development) through video link reflected the commitment of the Government of Balochistan to ensuring effective coordination and preparedness for the Monsoon 2026 emergency response framework.
