The initiative promotes transparency, public access to data, and evidence-based planning to support effective governance and development.
The Planning & Development Department, Government of Balochistan, successfully organized the launching ceremony of its new publications and an interactive statistical dashboard, developed by the Bureau of Statistics (BOS), today.
The Honorable Chief Minister of Balochistan, along with cabinet members, formally inaugurated the P&D Department’s Interactive Statistical Dashboard on April 22, 2026, alongside key statistical publications. This initiative represents a major step toward enhancing transparency, strengthening evidence-based planning, and ensuring public access to authentic and reliable development data.
The newly launched dashboard is a modern, user-friendly digital platform designed for policymakers, researchers, and the general public. It enables users to access up-to-date provincial data across a wide range of development indicators, explore and visualize socio-economic trends, compare data across districts and regions, and track changes over time to support informed decision-making.
On the occasion, the Honorable Chief Minister also launched the following publications:
* Balochistan Development Profile: Statistical Comparison with Other Provinces
* Trends Analysis of Development Statistics of Balochistan (2010–2023)
These publications provide comprehensive data and in-depth analysis of the province’s socio-economic landscape. They offer valuable insights into development progress, enable comparisons with other provinces, and highlight both achievements and challenges across districts and sectors.
This initiative is expected to significantly strengthen evidence-based policymaking and planning in Balochistan. By improving transparency and facilitating public access to reliable data, it will contribute to more effective governance and support sustainable socio-economic development across the province.
