The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), Government of Balochistan, met on 1st September 2026 under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning & Development Department, to review proposals of the Social Welfare Department for the establishment of Special Education Complexes at Turbat and Zhob. The forum examined the schemes in terms of development objectives, technical feasibility, financial implications and sustainability, and underlined the need for equitable access to quality education for children with special needs across the province. The Chair directed that the projects be planned and executed in line with approved technical standards, financial rules and environmental requirements, ensuring transparency, quality assurance and judicious use of public resources.

After detailed deliberations and scrutiny, the PDWP considered the proposals in accordance with the prescribed procedures and relevant development criteria. The Chair emphasized that the projects should be planned and implemented in accordance with approved technical standards, applicable financial rules, environmental requirements, and prescribed procedures, while ensuring transparency, quality assurance, cost-effectiveness, and judicious utilization of public resources.
