PDWP Reviews Development Proposals of BCDA and Fisheries Sector

The Provincial Development Working Party, under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), P&DD, met on 16th July 2026 to review development proposals relating to the Balochistan Coastal Development Authority and the Fisheries Sector.

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), Government of Balochistan, under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (Dev:) Planning & Development Department convened a meeting on 16th July 2026 to review and deliberate upon development proposals relating to the Balochistan Coastal Development Authority (BCDA) and Fisheries Sector. During the meeting, the forum undertook a detailed scrutiny of the projects placed before it, with particular focus on their technical feasibility, development objectives, financial implications, implementation arrangements, and anticipated socio-economic benefits. The PDWP emphasized the strategic importance of sustainable development of Balochistan’s coastal areas and fisheries resources, particularly in terms of improving livelihoods, promoting economic activity, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring sustainable utilization of the province’s natural resources. The concerned departments and executing agencies were directed to undertake necessary measures for effective implementation of the decisions taken by the forum and to maintain close coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
