PDWP Reviews Local Government Development Proposals

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), reviewed development proposals submitted by the Local Government Department, focusing on municipal services, urban infrastructure, and improved public service delivery through effective planning and implementation.

A meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held on 29 April 2026 under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development). During the meeting, the forum reviewed and considered various development proposals submitted by the Local Government Department. The proposals were examined in detail with regard to their technical soundness, financial viability, and alignment with overall development priorities. The forum discussed initiatives aimed at strengthening municipal services, improving urban infrastructure, and enhancing service delivery at the local level. After comprehensive deliberations, the PDWP considered the proposed schemes and emphasized the importance of efficient planning, timely execution, and effective coordination among relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful achievement of intended development outcomes and improved public service delivery across local government institutions.
