The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), reviewed and evaluated the proposal for establishing a sub-campus of Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water & Marine Sciences in District Awaran to improve access to higher education in the region.
The PDWP meeting of the Education Sector regarding the “Establishment of Sub-Campus of Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water & Marine Sciences at District Awaran” was held on 28 April 2026 under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning & Development Department. The forum considered the project proposal in detail and carried out comprehensive scrutiny and evaluation of its academic, administrative, financial, and infrastructural aspects. During the deliberations, the meeting reviewed the significance of establishing the sub-campus to enhance access to higher education opportunities in District Awaran, particularly in the fields of agriculture, water resources, and marine sciences. After thorough examination and discussion, the proposal was deliberated upon in light of the development priorities and educational needs of the area.
