Graduate Engineer Training (GET) Program – Phase-II Planning & Development Department, Government of Balochistan The Planning & Development Department, Government of Balochistan, welcomes the commencement of Phase-II of the Pakistan Engineering Council’s (PEC) Graduate Engineer Training (GET) Placement Program. Following the successful induction of 92 Graduate Engineer Trainees in Phase-I, Phase-II commenced on April 2, 2026, with the joining of 304 Graduate Engineer Trainees (Batch 2025) from various engineering disciplines. This expansion reflects the continued commitment to strengthening technical capacity within the public sector. The fully PEC-funded, six-month program is designed as a “house job” style training initiative to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience. It comprises five months of structured rotational placements across various public sector departments, providing hands-on exposure, and one month of focused skill development, with a monthly stipend of PKR 50,000 for each trainee ( purely paid by PEC) . The Planning & Development Department considers this initiative a valuable opportunity to provide young engineers with practical exposure to public sector development processes while supporting institutional capacity building. The Department appreciates the efforts of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in expanding this flagship program and remains committed to providing a conducive learning environment for the trainees.
