The meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) for the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI) was convened on 16th March in the Conference Hall of the Planning & Development Department, under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development). During the meeting, the Committee undertook a comprehensive review of development proposals submitted by various Deputy Commissioners from across the province. Each proposal was examined in detail with regard to its technical feasibility, alignment with sectoral priorities, and conformity with the policy framework and guidelines issued by the Planning & Development Department. Following thorough deliberations, the forum made appropriate decisions on the submitted schemes. Proposals found consistent with the prescribed criteria and development objectives were approved, while others were deferred or returned with specific observations for revision and resubmission. The Chair emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency, adherence to established guidelines, and timely execution of approved projects to maximize developmental impact at the grassroots level.
