Steering / Review Committee Reviews Progress on Socio-Political Agenda Items

A meeting of the Steering/Review Committee on Socio-Political Domain was held on September 25, 2026, at the Planning & Development Department, under the chairmanship of the Minister for Finance, Government of Balochistan. The meeting was attended by representatives of all relevant departments and stakeholders. The forum reviewed the progress made by the Government of Balochistan on various agenda items pertaining to the province, which are scheduled to be reviewed in the upcoming meeting of the Federal Minister for Planning & Special Initiatives in Islamabad. During the meeting, the concerned departments apprised the forum of the status of relevant agenda items and the progress made on matters pertaining to Balochistan. The forum examined the available information and emphasized the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely consolidation and submission of updated information to the federal level. The Committee particularly stressed the need for regular monthly compilation of relevant data by the concerned departments. It was emphasized that updated and accurate information should be compiled on a timely basis and submitted to the concerned authorities in Islamabad well before the scheduled review meetings. The Chair directed all concerned stakeholders to ensure timely provision, verification and consolidation of data and maintain regular coordination with the Planning & Development Department so that the provincial progress and status of agenda items are appropriately reflected at the federal level.
