The Government of Balochistan, with technical support from UNICEF, will host a one-day policy consultation titled “Towards Inclusive and Resilient Social Services in Balochistan: A Policy Consultation” on 16 February 2026 at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The consultation will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti. The consultation aims to culminate in a government-owned, SDG-aligned social sector roadmap, supported by clear policy commitments and a defined pathway for resource mobilization and sustained engagement with development partners. The event will bring together a broad range of public and private sector stakeholders, including national and international development partners. The consultation will present an overview of the current social and development landscape of Balochistan, highlighting progress achieved to date while identifying persisting gaps and challenges. It will also initiate a forward-looking dialogue on future strategic priorities, reform directions, and opportunities to strengthen partnerships, enhance resource mobilization, and ensure sustained engagement in support of inclusive and resilient social services in the province.
